Top Five HOUSTON Housing Areas for Aggie Grads

Howdy Ags!
Congrats on your new career and city destination of Houston!
Houston is a great, super fun place to live for recent Aggie Grads!
But man, you HAVE to know this: Having good info about Houston neighborhoods is CRITICAL!   Why? Because Houston has NO zoning!  That means you can have a beautiful apartment building and then a super dump trash bar or vape place right right when you exit your apartment building door! This is true even in the best areas of Houston.
So I’m writing this article to you so you will have some good solid info about the better areas of Houston to consider for your new apartment.  And: Text me anytime for more info here: 214-492-9791
TOP FIVE HOUSTON HOUSINGAREAS  for AGGIE GRADS
Not meant to be in particular order, but maybe they are! 🙂  Here they are! Note: Many of these areas are in the “INNER LOOP” of Houston.  The Inner Loop. That means they are inside the 610 Loop.   More particularly, they are on the WEST side of the Inner Loop.  Other sides of the Inner Loop are not so good!
1. The Heights !!
Yep, Houston Heights is now the #1 area for Aggie Grads!  It’s the most often requested area for Aggie grads we take care of from all firm locations in the Inner Loop.   It is an older area that is now revitalizing quickly.  It has many newer buildings, great shops and restaurants too.  Also has more of a neighborhood feel.
2. River Oaks
So west of downtown Houston about 10-15 minutes is the area called River Oaks. This is an “old money” part of Houston with huge million dollar houses. It also is considered “safe” and has some very beautiful mid-rise and high rise apartments.  It also has a TON and I mean a LOT of shopping!  The River Oaks District shopping center is a California style outdoor mall there that has an amazing feel.
3.  Washington Avenue/Montrose
This is an area also west of downtown that is not quite as far as River Oaks. The main advantage is a pretty area that’s close to Downtown.  It also has quick access to the popular BAYOU TRAILS. This is a 10+ mile set of running trails that are fun to be around. There’s plenty of desirable apartment buildings here!
4. Midtown Houston
Just a few years ago, this was the #1 destination for new Aggie grads! But not so much anymore!  There isn’t as many newer buildings here anymore and it just feels kind of older.  It still has great restaurants and good walkability.  It’s often a little cheaper to live here than other areas too.
5. Galleria
The top four choices are all in the Inner Loop. But you should also consider the Galleria area, Ags!  This is a great place that is just west of the very popular River Oaks  I mentioned above!  The Galleria name comes from the Galleria huge mall that is right there when you cross over the inner loop.  Lots to shop around there. But frankly the better parts of this area area nearby. Plenty of cute shops and restaurants and great walking paths full of trees.  And prices here are often a bit lower than other areas.  Totally recommend this super cute area!
Ags, this is just an overview of the area.  I hope this helps! I really just say text me so I can give you a better feel of what you need!   This is a free service
